The history of the Company “Aphrodite”started in 1992. The Company then did not have its present name and up to 1994 it was engaged in the import of various consumer goods. 1994. The Company enters the market of textile and sewing accessory. The deliveries were effected to all structural stores in Rostov-on-Don and Rostov region. 1995. The Company is one of the largest supplier of fabric and sewing accessory in Rostov region. In the same year the new logo and brand of the Company - “Aphrodite” was registered. The year of 1996 brought considerable results in the company's activity: the first own shop - “Fabric Salon “Aphrodite” was opened in the very center of historic part of the city Rostov-on-Don, in Bolshaya Sadovaya Street. It happened on June 21, 1996 and this very date became the Birthday of the company. The first staff of “Fabric Salon” consisted of only six young, open-hearted and keen people. The atmosphere which existed on that first stage was the result of precise estimation, based on formation of particular business relations: creative and responsible approach, self respect and respect to workmates, amicability with customers, professionalism. The main work assessment was and remains admiration and gratuity of the people – customers, who properly estimated the efforts of the company's founders.
1997. In the city center in Budennovskiy avenue “Fabric House “Aphrodite” was opened. It became long -expected event for everybody. Spacious rooms, refined architectural and design solutions, completely new for that time construction and decoration materials, trade equipment and technical fitting – all this just amazed the imagination of Rostov citizens. In 1997 “Fabric House”, as “Fabric Salon” in 1996, took the first place in the regional contest of design projects.
1998. In connection with sufficient growth of demand in textile in the whole Southern region, the Company “Aphrodite” opens “Central Wholesale Warehouse of Fabric” which further on has turned into a large structural subdivision of the company named at present “Production-Commercial Center “Aphrodite”. In the same year a sewing shop was opened which delivered male and female garments, wedding dresses.
1999. Sewing accessory became one of the most dynamically developing trends in the Company “Aphrodite”'s activity. The solution on organizing wholesale line in sewing accessory on the basis of efficient wholesale warehouse of fabric has been made.
2000. The Company “Aphrodite”, effecting the program for extending its activities, starts interior trend, having opened the store of upholstery-drape fabrics. Even nowadays it offers the best choice of drape and curtain fabrics, professional and decorative accessory for curtains and home textile arrangement, tapestry and upholster fabrics in the south of Russia. The sewing shop starts to sew drapes, curtains and other appropriate articles for window decoration.
2001. To expand the list of service in interior trend the company opens the store for selling curtain-rods for various curtain systems. The department in assembling curtain-rods with highly qualified installers has been also created. Several special-purpose vehicles for visiting customers to assembling place have been bought.
The year of 2002 opened a new stage in the company's life. We made a decision to construct a large multi-functional building in historic center of the city in the crossing of B.Sadovaya St. and Chekhov ave. In the same year we began to make a construction site ready for the new building with the area of 1200 square meters. We settled in a new place the people from 6 one-storied and two-storied buildings. 10 families got new comfortable apartments in the city districts at their option.
2003. The construction of 8-storied complex begins. Architectural design, selected for the project of highly technological center, successfully combines modern image of the building with architecture of the main street of the city developed by centuries.
2004. We took into account the enhancement of housing construction and, effecting the program for the expansion of accessory and for the increase of produce for windows decoration on the market, we commissioned our own production equipped with modern highly technological devices, providing complete cycle for manufacturing popular and exclusive curtain systems. The major produce, manufactured by the Company “Aphrodite”, obtained a patent, registered by Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks.
2005. Expanding its activity the company becomes a co-founder of “North-Caucasus Commercial Enterprise” , whose major activity at that time was sale of every day commodities and goods' safekeeping. With close participation of the Company “Aphrodite” as a co-founder, this Enterprise became a leading logistic complex in Rostov region rendering a full package of services in safekeeping, advanced treatment and transportation of cargo, as well as a whole complex of additional services and operations.
2006. Our company creates its own logistic line. Stock of vehicles was completed by automobiles providing medium- and multi-tonnage transportation. We have built a warehouse equipped by shelf stands and everything required for loading-unloading operations and cargo treatment. Special program of delivery and warehouse control, developed by IT- the Company's experts, has been established.
2007. We are completing the construction of 8-storied complex “Aphrodite” in Chekhov St., 50. Total area of premises – about 8 000 square meters, operational housetop – 900 square meters.
2008. In addition to existing curtain-rod industry we opened a workshop for the production of all types of blinds and sun-control systems. Modern high technological equipment installed in the workshop allows to manufacture blinds with required sizes promptly with high quality.
2009. The Company opens a new central office with modern system technologies for arranging office space, the newest materials, modern systems of access and safety, communication and announcing, complex system of energy saving which optimally combines natural day light and artificial lighting. The office with the area of 900 square meters occupies the whole 5th floor of a new complex “Aphrodite” in Chekhov ave., 50.
2010. Interior Salon “Aphrodite” has been opened on the 2 floor of hypermarket for construction materials and home commodities “Repair World “HDM-Yug” located in 100 meters from hypermarket “MEGA”.
2011. The Company “Aphrodite” celebrates its 15th anniversary. “House of Fabric “Aphrodite”, previously located in Budennovskiy ave., 19, moves to a new, more spacious place. A refurbished “House of Fabric “Aphrodite” is being opened on the first floor of the new complex. Selling space of the first stage will constitute 400 square meters, the second will constitute already 750 square meters. We are planning to expand range of goods and new services considerably.
